JOGLBLOG
This is a rather meandering blog about using JOGL. It is not a tutorial, but a story. Hope someone finds it useful.
NeHe Lesson 1 - a frame
NeHe lesson 2 - drawing something
NeHe lesson 3 - colour (I'm English and spell properly)
NeHe lesson 4 - moving something
Lesson 5 is too simple to be worth doing, and lesson 6 is way too hard, since it introduces both textures and image file loading in one go. So I've done my own thing, starting by looking at programmatic textures as the Red Book does:
Textures 1 - includes pictures!
Keyboard and camera -- using the keyboard to move the camera along x y z axes
Lighting and materials - shiny things!
Vectors and movement - mm, maffs - better movement, plus mouse control
Textures 2 - reading a TGA file
Textures and blending - more pictures
Display lists - go-faster stripes
Simple text - Hello World at last
Skyboxes - starry starry night
Bezier curve - not too exciting
Rotations - turn, turn turn
Space balls - how to draw Jupiter
Orientation - pitch and roll
